POHA RECIPE


Ingredients:

1 cup flattened rice (poha)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 green chili, finely chopped
8-10 curry leaves
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1/2 cup boiled peas
1/4 cup roasted peanuts
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

1.Rinse the flattened rice (poha) in water for a few seconds, then drain and set it aside to soften.

2.Heat vegetable oil in a pan or skillet over medium heat.

3.Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds to the hot oil. Let them splutter for a few seconds.

4.Add chopped onions, green chili, and curry leaves to the pan. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.

5.Sprinkle turmeric powder and salt over the onions. Mix well to coat the onions with the spices.

6.Add the soaked and softened flattened rice (poha) to the pan. Gently toss everything together to combine.

7.Cook for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flattened rice is heated through.

8.Add boiled peas and roasted peanuts to the pan. Mix well to incorporate them into the Poha.

9.Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

10.Serve hot Poha with a squeeze of lemon juice on top for an extra tangy flavor.
